This would be my second post because I am computer illiterate and my sister didn't explain how to find my blog. I am here now! So this week has been eventful for us. We started school this week. My kids are on year around school so they had a whole 2 week summer vacation and have now moved on to 4th and 5th grade. We have had an early out on Monday, because they need to ease back into school after being gone for 2 weeks, then 2 full days. Thursday, which is today, is an early out day because tomorrow is a holiday here in Utah for Pioneer Day and we need to be out early so we can go out of town for a 3 day weekend. Since I am such a good mom, I forgot the camera for the kids' first day of school so I thought that since Kennedy's first day of Kindergarten (boohoo!) is on Tuesday, we will have to have a mock "first day of school" photo. I can't believe that Kennedy is in Kindergarten already. She had her testing on Tuesday, and the teacher asked her if she went to preschool. I told her that she did not go to preschool. The teacher was totally surprised because she said that you can totally tell if a child has attended one or not. I told her that she has a 4th grade sister who plays school with her all the time and that has been the best preschool ever!
As for the rest of the week I have been trying to get organized and making sure to go over all the expectations for this school year with Ethan and Brooke. The best blessing though is that Ethan's teacher lives right across the street from us, so I can just send him there when he needs help with his homework. I thought 5th grade would be hard but nope! 4th grade will be easy for me since this year will only be a review from the last. Maybe I should let Brian take 4th grade this year, and I can be on vacation.
Brian has been in China this week, and I haven't heard of any stomach pains yet. Last time that Brian went there he ate every weird thing you can think of. He thinks it is funny, and the people who take him think it is even funnier. About half way through his trip last time I called him while he was on his way to find some sort of drug store to get something for his stomach. I think he has decided to take it easy this time. If any of your are interested in any souvenirs from China, just look at anything you have, it is all made in China. Just kidding, Brian has brought home some really pretty pearls from China. Ethan also recommends getting a scorpion in resin if that is your sort of thing.
I really hope to be able to keep this blog going. I really hate sitting on a computer all day. I hate surfing the web. I like getting emails and read them as soon as I can stand to just sit and do that. I promise to get some pictures out as soon as possible too. See ya!

I STILL want you to send Brooke out here to "play school" with her cousins. What do you say - we could trade for Josh (since you keep offering) ...
